Louis Vuitton enhances its Colour Blossom Collection with new jewellery watches

Louis Vuitton has expanded its Color Blossom universe into timepieces, translating the collection’s soft curves, ornamental gemstones and signature Monogram Flower into a series of jewellery watches.

The new Color Blossom watches come in a variety of combinations spanning steel, pink gold, mother-of-pearl, amazonite and diamond pavé, all centred around the collection’s signature emblematic flower silhouette.

The case itself takes the shape of the Monogram Flower, sculpted with a rounded pebble-like profile that mirrors the rounded cabochon gemstones found in Color Blossom jewellery.

A curved sapphire crystal follows the same floral contour, while smaller details — from the flower-shaped crown to the tiny nail motif at the centre of the hands — reference Louis Vuitton’s trunkmaking heritage.

The dials are crafted from either pink or white mother-of-pearl or amazonite (a green mineral also known as amazonstone), each one gently domed to create depth and softness, with petals that slope inward toward a central stud.

Behind the scenes at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, artisans had to figure out how to stamp a delicate railway minute track onto ultra-thin gemstone dials without cracking the stone itself. Measuring between just 0.3 and 0.6mm thick, the dials are significantly thinner than those typically used in jewellery, requiring extraordinary care during cutting, shaping and polishing.

The sourcing process proved equally exacting. Only 3A-grade Australian white mother-of-pearl was selected for its luminosity and iridescence, while the amazonite — sourced exclusively from Brazil — underwent years of research to achieve the desired purity, veining and colour consistency. The stone itself is rarely seen in contemporary jewellery today, lending the watches a fresher, more unexpected character compared to more familiar hardstones.

Perhaps the most striking variation is the pink gold model paired with a softly blushed mother-of-pearl dial. To create the powdery pink hue, artisans hand-painted the reverse side of the dial, allowing the natural iridescence of the mother-of-pearl to remain visible while discreetly concealing the quartz movement beneath. Elsewhere, a fully pavé-set variation features 103 snow-set diamonds shimmering against pink gold and white mother-of-pearl.

The Color Blossom jewellery watches launch from 12 June and will be accompanied by a global campaign featuring House Ambassador Ana de Armas, who fronts the introduction of the collection.
